However, light therapy is a more commonly used treatment in skin care and “uses specific wavelengths of light, such as LED (light-emitting diode) or laser, to target various skin issues like acne, pigmentation, wrinkles, and overall skin rejuvenation. Different wavelengths (like blue light for acne or red light for anti-aging) penetrate the skin at different levels, promoting healing, reducing inflammation, and stimulating collagen production,” she shares.
