Welcome to another episode of Beauty Haul, where we challenge contestants to both shop ($150 budget!) and apply a full face of makeup in less than 30 minutes.
Today's contestant Jasmine Sanders, aka @golden_barbie on Instagram (where she's followed by 3.5 million), started modeling at the age of 13. Now 27, she has covered countless magazines, walked runways for the likes of Moschino, Ralph Lauren, and Miu Miu, and was just named Rookie of the Year for Sports Illustrated's 2019 Swimsuit Issue. While you've seen her face everywhere, what you might not know is that she's quite the beauty guru (in fact, she grew up with a makeup artist-mom).
It comes as no surprise, then, that she walked into our Beauty Haul challenge with a lot of confidence. Running through the aisles of Duane Reade and Birchbox at Walgreens, she grabbed everything from multiple lipstick shades to full eyeshadow palettes.
"If I'm going a little more on the natural, just glowy vibe with a little bit of oomph it takes 30 minutes," she says before we start. She's much more strapped for seconds with our time limit, but ends up creating a versatile makeup look well under the $150 budget.
