Ayo Edebiri is back at the Golden Globes tonight, attending the 82nd annual ceremony as a nominee for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy, for her role as Sydney Adamu in FX on Hulu’s hit series The Bear. Following her win in the same category last year, Edebiri returns to one of Hollywood’s biggest nights after another year on-screen, with a similarly chic look.
This time around, Edebiri paid sartorial tribute to Julia Roberts’s iconic 1990 Golden Globes outfit in an oversized gray Loewe suit with a 14-karat gold-dipped feather tie and makeup by Armani Beauty. She paired the look with Mejuri earrings.
Over the past couple of years, Edebiri has balanced her acclaimed performance in The Bear with notable roles in movies including Bottoms, Theater Camp, and Inside Out 2.
Her red carpet appearances during last year’s awards season have also stood out, with looks by Prada, Bottega Veneta, Loewe, among others. Speaking about her collaborative relationship with stylist Danielle Goldberg in a May 2024 interview with Vanity Fair, Edebiri shared, “We just got kind of vulnerable. I was like, ‘I feel very sad [because] people are telling me I’m primed to be this and I’m primed to be that, but I don’t feel like it’s being reflected.’ And Danielle said, ‘You’re a leading lady, I will dress you as such.’”
Edebiri also reflected on the whirlwind of her rapid rise in Hollywood to the outlet, sharing, “I feel very fortunate and still, I don’t really totally believe it or understand it. It’s special but strange; both a really intense experience but also something that I’m very grateful for.”
This year’s nomination marks another highlight in Edebiri’s blossoming career, as she continues her journey with The Bear, which is set to return for its fourth season.
