Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating Valentine’s Day from afar this year, as Harry remains in Canada for the Invictus Games after Meghan returned to their home California. The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram to share a rare personal post dedicated to her husband, highlighting her pride in his work and their enduring connection despite the distance.
In the black-and-white photo, the couple is seen kissing as they share a meal together in a cozy outdoor setting. “Back home taking care of our babies, and missing my Valentine, as he continues on at the Invictus Games, changing lives and reminding all of us of the power of healing and resilience through these incredible veterans and their families. Beyond proud of my husband and what he’s created,” Meghan wrote in the caption. She ended the message with a sweet personal note—“My love, I will eat burgers & fries and fish & chips with you forever. Thank you for you. #lovewins.”
Harry remains in Whistler, Canada, where he has been attending events for the Invictus Games, an international sports competition he founded in 2014 for wounded service members and veterans. The events run through February 16 this year. Meghan had joined him earlier in the trip, making several public appearances before returning to California to be with their children, Archie and Lilibet.
Her earlier departure from Canada had been planned in advance, according to a source close to the Invictus Games. After she left, Meghan shared an Instagram Story from their home in Montecito, writing, “A taste of Canada and The Invictus Games for our little ones! Cheering you on from home.”
