On Saturday, Meghan Markle shared some clips of her daughter Lilibet and their close family friend, Serena Williams. In the video shared by the Duchess of Sussex, Williams can be seen looking at a board game with the three-year-old princess while wearing a dark pink sweatsuit. Lilibet was also in pink, wearing a lighter shade shirt with long sleeves and floral print leggings. Her long hair was back in a pony tail.
Though Lilibet’s face could not be seen in the video, she appeared to be listening to Williams as they surveyed the coffee table, which was laid out with Candy Land. The sweet moment was set to the song “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers. Over it, Meghan wrote, “When the aunties come to celebrate... and to play! Love you @serenawilliams.”
In another photo, Meghan leans in to join the proceedings, smiling encouragingly over her daughter’s shoulder. She’s wearing a navy blouse with thin white stripes and a pair of diamond stud earrings.
Over it, the duchess wrote, “Three days until the party begins. All are invited @netflix.”
Later, both Meghan and Williams posted a black-and-white photo in which they’re sharing a warm embrace.
In early January, Meghan shared that she was launching a show on Netflix.
“I have been so excited to share this with you!” she wrote at the time. “I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support—and fun! As ever, Meghan.”
The new series is titled With Love, Meghan, and reportedly “reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming, blending practical how-to’s and candid conversation with friends, new and old...Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.”
