Ayo Edebiri returns to the Met Gala tonight, gracing the museum’s famed steps not just as a guest, but also as a member of this year’s prestigious host committee.
The Bear actress worked with Maximilian Davis to create a custom Ferragamo look anchored with Cartier jewels.
Tonight also marks a milestone for Edebiri, who made her Met Gala debut just last year in a floral, hand-embroidered Loewe gown that perfectly captured the “Garden of Time” theme.
Since then, Edebiri has continued to solidify her status as both a style visionary and a rising force onscreen. She fronted Loewe’s resort 2025 campaign, starred alongside John Malkovich in A24’s Opus, and was recently announced as the star and executive producer of Prodigies, an upcoming romantic comedy for Apple TV+. On the small screen, she remains a fan favorite in The Bear, where she’s set to return for its fourth season—not only as a lead actor, but also as a co-writer on one of the episodes.
Edebiri’s fashion partnership with stylist Danielle Goldberg has remained a standout over the past year, with the actress consistently turning heads in labels like Loewe, Prada, and The Row throughout awards season. “[Danielle] said, ‘You’re a leading lady, I will dress you as such,’” Edebiri told Vanity Fair last year—a philosophy that continues to define her bold yet refined approach to red carpet style.
As a member of the 2025 Met Gala host committee—which was first established in 2019—Edebiri joins a distinguished group of trailblazers from fashion, film, art, and sports. Other committee members include Doechii, Simone Biles, Jordan Casteel, Dapper Dan, Regina King, and more.
