Britney Spears raised eyebrows after posting on Instagram about a new “beautiful baby girl” in her life named Lennon London Spears this week. So did Spears actually expand her family?
Sources were quick to debunk the speculation. Multiple insiders told TMZ that Spears has not adopted a baby girl or dog, contrary to rumors. E!, meanwhile, revealed the caption was just a harmless joke.
In the post, Spears wrote about her workout and teased a potential move to Italy, writing, “I want you let you guys know I adopted a beautiful baby girl [sic] !!! Her name is Lennon London Spears [sic] !!!” TMZ’s sources also clarified that Swift isn’t relocating to Italy either.
While Spears hasn’t actually adopted a “beautiful baby girl,” she has reconnected with her youngest son, 19-year-old Jayden. The mother and son’s apparent reunion began in December, when Spears shared a video with Jayden. At the time, she said it was the first time she’d seen him in almost three years.
“He came back, and he feels older and smarter than me,” Spears wrote in her December 31 Instagram post. “He’s a man, and I cry every day of my life because of the miracle and genius he is !!! When he plays the whole earth shakes !!!”
She also touched on the bond they share. “Mine forever,” the singer wrote. “It’s weird we’re like twins, but he’s a boy and I’m a girl !!!”
Spears’s two sons, Sean and Jayden, moved to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, in summer 2023. This move occurred after Spears “consented” to the relocation in May 2023, according to People.
