The Love Is Blind machine cannot be stopped. After a dramatic eighth season full of tears, breakups, and only one (1) successful marriage, Netflix’s reality dating series will continue with season 9, moving on from Minneapolis to Denver.
The news was announced during the season 8 reunion on March 9, during which hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey enlisted NFL stars Josh Metellus of the Minnesota Vikings and Alex Singleton of the Denver Broncos to help unveil the show’s next destination.
“I want to thank you for coming to the Twin Cities. I’m excited to pass the ball to the next season,” Metellus said, per Netflix’s Tudum. He virtually passed to Singleton, confirming the next season will be set in Colorado.
The cast and release date have not been announced yet, but given Love Is Blind had two seasons in 2024, it’s possible season 9 could also arrive in 2025. (Season 1 only premiered in 2020, after all.) We’ll stay tuned for updates.
It was already rumored that Denver would be the next filming location. Back in April 2024, Axios Denver reported sightings of cast members and sets around the city, including at a speakeasy, yoga studio, and various restaurants. Past seasons have been filmed in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, Houston, Charlotte, and Washington, D.C.
Casting calls for the Denver and Minneapolis seasons were posted back in 2023. (Sadly, hopeful romantics in the area can no longer apply.) But we’ll soon find out which lucky singles will be looking for love in those famous pods.
This story will be updated.
