We Put Gigi Hadid’s New Cashmere Collection to the Test
Here’s what we have to say about Guest In Residence.

Whenever a celebrity embarks on a new business venture that’s outside their lane, so to speak, we pay attention—close attention. Harry Styles’ nail polish? We’ve tried it. Kim Kardashian’s underwear brand? Been there, done that. So when Gigi Hadid announced her very own cashmere collection last September, we were intrigued, to say the least. Could one of the world’s most famous supermodels—and our March cover star—successfully translate her influence to the field of design and direct-to-consumer goods?
Comprised of mostly versatile, unisex garments, the price point for Guest In Residence sits around $300, landing a bit too high for her loyal Gen Z fans to snap up ‘til it’s sold out. But the pricing is indicative of the quality, Hadid told ELLE.com at the time of the brand’s launch. The aim is to create heirloom pieces, as she calls them. “Being a mom, you start to think about what the trends and style might be as your child grows up, and what I hope to pass down to [my daughter],” Hadid said. “With that in mind, I think my intention with Guest In Residence is to be able to create pieces that are fun in their colorways but classic enough that they can transcend many generations and can be passed down.”
Sounds great, in theory, but what about in execution? Following the brand’s most recent launch of its spring core collection, we had our very own ELLE.com editors suit up in the luxe knits and give their honest opinions. Here, find our thoughts on Gigi Hadid’s Guest In Residence.
