13 Beauty Details You Missed From The 2025 Met Gala
From manicures that pay a subtle homage to the designer to Lana Del Rey's sweet homage to her partner
It's only May and it looks like the 2025 Met Gala might just be one of the best red carpets yet. From Rihanna's pregnancy announcement and Doechii's Met Gala debut in Louis Vuitton to Kamala Harris making her appearance, last night's event was rife with memorable talking points.
With the theme being Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, sharply-cut suits and impeccable tailoring were naturally in order, but there was no shortage of breathtaking beauty moments. Celebrities and their glam teams truly pulled out all the stops to create showstopping looks.
Sculptural hair took centre stage as stars such as Ego Nwodim, Gigi Hadid and Ayo Edibiri stepped out in lacquered, polished styles that were pieces of art in their own right. It was also an evening that truly celebrated Black hair, as Doechii and Lauryn Hill both wore their Afros - a style that's under-represented on the red carpet - in its full glory.
Make-up artists embraced their playful, experimental side by incorporating gem stones, crystals and even logo embossing on immaculate complexions while manicurists upped the ante with custom nail sets. From pearl embellishments to Mary J Blige's take on pink nails, there were plenty of spring nail designs to bookmark.
