Even though Kim Kardashian will always be synonymous with her long, dark hair, the reality star is also known for switching things up from time to time. Ever since taking her hair from super dark to bleach blonde seemingly overnight for The Met Gala, Kim has been enjoying the past few months with her lighter locks. She’s even served some major looks, including a Draco Malfoy peroxide blonde moment, a 'Bobbsey twin' moment with Anna Wintour and even a nostalgic secondary school look.

But just when we thought we’d seen it all, the reality star has gone and done a complete 180°, sporting a completely unexpected hairstyle – and looking completely unrecognisable in the process. No, seriously, we did such a quick double take, we almost got whiplash.

In a new photoshoot for her latest Skims collection, Kim is sporting a beach blonde hairstyle that is the ultimate power cut. Her hairstylist Chris Appleton shared images from the shoot, referencing that inspo for the look came from the 80s.

As for the cut itself, it resembles a super chic mullet, thanks to its super choppy layers and extreme volume in the roots. It’s something we’ve never seen Kim sport before, which makes us love this look even more.
