Along with a boatload of scandals, the year also gave us some dreamy new make-up discoveries, and if like me, you've been wondering which products set the internet's hearts on fire, then you're in luck... Instagram's No1 beauty authority on new make-up launches, @TrendMood1, recently released a series of polls to find out which products the beauty community thought were the best of best in 2018. With 1.2 million make-up-obsessed followers, it's fair to say these polls give a pretty accurate representation of the thoughts and feelings of the beauty world's most active Instagrammers.

With 69% of the votes, Too Faced's Born This Way Foundation was voted best foundation of 2018, beating Estee Lauder's Double Wear.
Concealer
Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer remains the reigning champion when it comes to full coverage, it received 78% of the votes, beating Too Faced's Born This Way Sculpting Concealer.
Lip Product
Hardly a surprise, Fenty Beauty's Gloss Bomb stole the show with 73% of the votes, beating Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipsticks.
Eyeshadow Palette
Annoyingly, the very best eyeshadow palette of 2018 - James Charles' Morphe Artistry Palette, has sold out worldwide, BUT we hear there are more coming soon, so make sure you sign up to the waitlist here. It got 66% of the votes, beating the Desi x Katy Friendcation Palette.
