Autumn is once again (somehow) upon us. Whilst this summer felt like it whizzed past even quicker than usual due to Covid-19, lockdown and a total lack of that holiday feeling, in true autumn fashion, it's time to start getting the blankets and cozy jumpers out and watching Gilmore Girls re-runs with a pumpkin spice latte in hand.

The time for summer might have gone, but the season of comfort is officially here. And boy do we need it. In times of uncertainty and despair (as 2020 has unfortunately offered an armful of) we often seek comfort in the familiar and this need for nostalgia even extends to our manicures. The newest nail art trend on the Instagram block is inspired by the wavy 1960s, with everything from bright geometric shapes to vibrant tie dye swirls in psychedelic hues. Luckily for us there's more than a few totally groovy nail art designs we can get on board with to cheer up these gloomy months.

It's time to swap the brooding burgundy varnish for a manicure that's a little more 60s this autumn. Read on for the best 60s nail art designs inspiring your new seriously hip finger tips...
