From New York to London, Milan and Paris, the beauty looks seen on the runways at the spring/summer 2024 shows have all had one thing in common: fresh, glowing skin.

It acted as the perfect canvas for bold eye looks, from the candy shadow at Versace to graphic liner at Jil Sander, and who could forget those blue lips at Burberry. While at shows including Gabriela Hearst, Tod's and David Koma, models were radiant and had (seemingly) makeup-free skin.

So, what's the big, skin-boosting secret the rest of us have been missing out on? Fortunately for you, we have the answers.

Emma Lewisham at Molly Goddard

Founder Emma Lewisham created her skincare brand in New Zealand in 2019, with the aim of creating a 100% natural line of products that didn't compromise on quality. The results speak for themselves – high-performing, science-backed skincare that's formulated with the planet in mind. That's some serious credentials to live up to – but the fresh-faced models at Molly Goddard were treated with Lewisham's products before heading out onto the runway, and those results speak for themselves.

Dior Beauty at Dior

The iconic French fashion house first launched its skincare line in 1986. The products harness founder Christian Dior's love of flowers, using floral-derived ingredients that are gentle on the skin. It's no surprise then, that for the brand's SS24 fashion show, models' faces were prepped for the runway using Dior Beauty. The result? A very natural, healthy glow.

Olivia is ELLE’s Deputy Chief Sub Editor – in other words, she gets paid to read ELLE for a living, overseeing the production of our monthly print issues. When she’s not editing copy or scattering her words throughout the magazine, you’ll probably find her snacking, talking about how great her friends are, trying not to buy more clothes or rolling her eyes at something – usually with a takeout coffee in hand.
