Prince William can keep Villanelle’s pyjamas. Jodie Comer has upgraded the 'Kapow'-print sleepwear (part of her Killing Eve wardrobe) for something more premium.
On Tuesday, luxury brand LOEWE announced that the 26-year-old is the star of its spring/summer 2020 campaign, capturing the BAFTA award winning actress in a film by creative director Jonathan Anderson, and close collaborator Steven Meisel.
The two minute-long film is a bonafide 'Best of' showreel, showcasing Comer's range as she laughs, cries, and shouts in her dressing room mirror, repeating one word: 'LOEWE.' (Great news if you've ever wondered how its pronounced).

Comer is no stranger to catwalk style, typifying 'Big Dress Energy' in pink Molly Goddard on-screen as murderous Villanelle in Killing Eve. That's the image that sticks. ‘Jonathan and his work are so distinctive. It’s inspiring to work alongside someone who pushes boundaries and creates in the way that he does,' Comer says of stepping into the role of campaign-girl.
Creative director, Jonathan Anderson, adds that Comer ‘is 100 per cent committed to an idea. I find that incredibly inspiring and I think that’s why people have gravitated towards her, and why we wanted to work with her in this campaign.’
Alongside the film, Comer features as part of a triptych that sees neon slime ooze between manicured fingers (part of an ongoing series titled 'A Show of Hands' by LOEWE collaborator, Steven Meisel), and brightly coloured Lazo handbags - which those attending Paris Fashion Week will see on posters around the city in anticipation of the LOEWE's SS20 show.
Speaking about her statement-making style as Villanelle on-screen, Comer told ELLE in May 2019 that ‘I wish I was as bold as her.'
Comer's own style looks original and inspiring enough to us though.
