Every season, there is a certain bag that features on the arms of influencers and editors more than all others.
This time last year, it was about the straw basket bag - a surprise hit given that its material doesn't make it a likely bedfellow to rainy February. Last season belonged to the perhaps even more impractical string bag, which more often than not required an inner bag to prevent one's belongings from falling through its net fabric.
This London Fashion Week, such design inefficiencies have been remedied in the form of the plant pot bag - an evolution of the string tote, this time featuring a leather case in which to store your phone and wallet, which to the untrained eye resembles one of the terracotta pots commonly seen at Petersham Nurseries.
