Meghan Markle might have left her husband, Prince Harry, and four month old son, Archie Harrison, in the UK during her trip to the New York City over the weekend but she certainly made sure that they were ‘close’ to her heart.
For her visit to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to support friend Serena Williams in her US Open Women’s Final against Bianca Vanessa Andreescu on Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex accessorised her J.Crew denim midi dress with a gold necklace featuring the initials of the two leading men in her life.
During the sporting match, which ultimately saw Andreescu beat Williams, the royal was photographed frequently playing with her a necklace which is from the brand Mini Mini Jewels and features two dog tags with the initials ‘H’ or Harry and ‘A’ for Archie.

According to the company’s website, the tags are 14k gold and feature birthstones ranging from emerald and ruby to garnet.
Harry, who will celebrate his birthday on Sunday 15 September, has a sapphire birthstone while the couple’s son Archie has an emerald as he was born in May.

Trooping the Colour – June 2018
At the Trooping the Colour in June, Meghan was photographed wearing an ‘eternity’ ring on her wedding finger which reportedly incorporated Harry and Archie’s birthstones, as well as that of Meghan – peridot.
‘Meghan was touched,’ a source told Harper’s Bazaar, referring to rumours that the Prince worked with jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz to create the ring. ‘A lot of thought went into it.’
Wimbledon Championships – June 2019
To watch 23-time Grand Slam winner Williams at the Wimbledon Championships 2019, Meghan styled her L’Agence blazer, Madewell hat and OUTLAND’s Harriet jeans with a gold necklace featuring the initial ‘A’, in reference to her newborn son.
The pendant - titled ‘Love Letters’ - was created by Sydney-based Verse Fine Jewellery.
