For quite a few seasons now, the bucket hat trend has reigned supreme. But as the obsession with all things Western continues to grow, cowboy hats are picking up speed. Miu Miu found a clever way to merge our love for both silhouettes. The Milanese fashion house reimagined the laidback cotton bucket hat by adding the unmistakable flair of a cowboy hat—securing two opposite sides of the brim with buttons. The final touch? That coveted Miu Miu logo etched front and centre.

As you can imagine, all of the girlies are flocking towards the trend-setting piece. It made multiple appearances over the weekend at Coachella. Teyana Taylor used it to top off an all-black outfit, while Jhené Aiko paired an olive version with a utilitarian jacket. And early adopter of trends, like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Sydney Sweeney, have also been spotted in the hat.

This isn’t one of those here-today-and-gone-tomorrow trends. If you’ve been watching the runways, you’ll know that Miu Miu is doubling down on the unique hat moment for next fall and winter. In fact, the brand sent nine models down the runway in what’s likely to be the next big hat trend: a modernised cloche. Sculptural, structured, and slightly mysterious, it’s a nod to vintage glamour with a distinctly current twist.

We may have to wait until next season to get our hand on the cloche, but in the meantime, the Miu Miu Drill cowboy hat feels like a worthy investment in this hat-forward era.
