The intense pressure of dressing for an event is tough for all of us at the best of times. Imagine being Catherine, Princess of Wales, knowing all eyes are always on you at every event - and that event is at the British Fashion Council surrounded by some of the most important names in the industry.

But once again, Catherine's outfit was pitch perfect, as she chose a willow-coloured Victoria Beckham suit to attend the British Fashion Council's British Design event to present the Queen Elizabeth II award in central London today.

The Princess presented the award to Patrick McDowell - it's the second time she's presented the award, having previously given it to Saul Nash in 2022. The Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design was first presented to Richard Quinn in February 2018 by the then monarch.

The Princess's appearance also marks somewhat of a return to public life for Catherine whose appearances have been few and far between since she revealed her cancer diagnosis last year. However, the Princess was also out twice last week as part of VE day commemorations - wearing polka dots for the Thanksgiving Service to mark the 80th anniversary and a chic hair bow at another event.
