Should you wish to establish immediate kinship with a millennial woman, you need say only one word: ‘Sienna’. The friends I have made in adulthood might have different biographies and backgrounds, but despite the varying details and references, Sienna Miller is the great unifier. A guaranteed crowd pleaser. A source of shared interest, adoration and obsession.
Unlike most things from our youth (see: orange fake tans, blue WKDs), our enthusiasm for Miller has not diminished over the intervening decades. Why? The style. Specifically the, sorry-not-sorry, boho chic that felt the right amount of man-repelling and unapologetically pretty. Hitting at a time pre-social media but peak-paparazzi and weekly celebrity mags, each image of her that dropped was a jolt of excitement. It felt refreshing, invigorating.

So, what a thrill then that today Miller buddies up with another British icon: Marks & Spencer. Following the runaway success of the 33-piece collection she released earlier this year, the actor has collaborated with the high-street giant once again – but this time, to design a party wear capsule.

‘This second collection is very much a party edit for the festive season,’ explained Miller. ‘It’s got tailoring, faux fur, party dresses, statement prints, embellishment, co-ordinating accessories and also my favourite jeans from the first collection, in two new washes. Seeing my designs in the real world is so rewarding. I love how each individual wears and styles them and I can’t wait to see their reaction to round two this winter!’
An unapologetically nostalgic romp through the heydays of disco, the collection takes inspiration from the legendary Studio 54 as well as pieces from her own wardrobe –particularly her favourite vintage finds (see: those sequinned mini dresses and killer strappy satin sandals).
Other standouts? A deep green velvet blazer that simply screams Christmas party, the perfect goes-with-everything silk pussybow blouse, a Nineties-esque strappy chocolate brown slip dress and an epic leopard print belt. There’s even the supremely chic white three-piece suit that Miller wore to the launch party earlier this week, that would be perfect for a winter bride.
Top of our wishlist, however, are the barrel-leg jeans – and Sienna agrees: 'It's always so hard to pick a favourite piece; but I love the jeans, I LOVE wearing jeans,' she said. The slouchy denim style sold out almost immediately in her last collection, and this time they're back in two new colourways. We have a feeling these are going to be the jeans of the season – so get them while you still can...
