After five months of what we can only imagine is ideal wedded bliss, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are said to be finally able to head to their new home in Kensington Palace.

According to the Daily Mail, the Duke and Duchess, who are currently visiting the Dukedom of Sussex, are expected to come home to their brand new pad, which has undergone expensive and lengthy repairs.

Called Apartment 1, the 21-room home sits next door to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's in Apartment 1A.

Up until recently, the huge space has been covered in scaffolding and tarpaulin as builders have been completing the £1.4 million facelift.

It is believed that the roof and windows have been the focus of the repairs, which have meant the couple, who wed in May, have been living at Harry's Nottingham Cottage (where Harry proposed over roast chicken) since their nuptials.

Harry is no doubt excited to head back to the home where he lived with his mother, Lady Diana, as a child.

Similarly, Meghan is probably exited to put her stamp on their new, shared home, that will also house her adorable dogs.

Whilst visiting the Brighton Survivors' Network, a charity founded by female survivors of sexual abuse, this week the former Suits star received a rather special piece of artwork of her dog, Guy, dismantling the patriarchy.

Since Guy's new home will be right in the heart of Britain's royal institution, we wonder whether he'll start his anarchic work from the seat of power?
