Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s older daughter, Isabella, one of two children they adopted in the ‘90s, is reportedly helping the Church of Scientology to recruit members.

The 26 year-old is said to have penned an email newsletter for Scientology London which details her difficult, but seemingly rewarding journey to become an ‘auditor’ which the Scientology website describes, ‘provides a precise path by which any individual may walk an exact route to higher states of spiritual awareness.'

'The goal of auditing is to restore beingness and ability.' The site for the controversial faith continues, 'This is accomplished by (1) helping the individual rid himself of any spiritual disabilities and (2) increasing individual abilities.’

Isabella, now 26, writes of how transformative her recent progress into the Church has felt for her.

‘I became that annoying girl in the org who would just talk endlessly about how incredible training is and how phenomenal the internship is,’ the young church member writes, continuing, ‘We all need to do this. It’s hard work. It’s a lot of effort. It’s a few melt downs and running to the bathroom to have a mini episode, but it is worth everything because you will get through. This is a gift to yourself and so many others. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t going to be an auditor or aren’t going to join staff. If you are going to make it as a being for the long run you NEED this. That’s the truth. You won’t stay Clear or OT without it. So stop messing around and get going.’

She specifically thanks her father, Tom Cruise, in the letter, but does not mention her mother Kidman, who is not a member of Scientology.

It is unclear if Bella is in contact with her actress mother, who said of her adopted children (she has two biological children with husband Keith Urban) last year: ‘They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them.’

Tom Cruise was introduced to Scientology by his first wife Mimi Rogers and is believed to have continued as a practising member throughout his two subsequent marriages, to Kidman and then to Katie Holmes, with whom he has a biological child, Suri. In 2013 Cruise is said to have admitted that Holmes divorced him at least partially to protect their daughter from his religion and that Suri is not a practicing member of Scientology.
