Last month, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry revealed the sex of their second child ... and they're having a baby girl! It's clear the Duke and Duchess of Sussex can't wait to have 'one of each,' and to add to this excitement is the happy news that one of Meghan's closest friends, Misha Nonoo, is also expecting a baby daughter in the coming months.
Meghan Markle and fashion designer Misha Nonoo have been friends for years, after originally meeting when they were seated next to one another at a lunch by a mutual friend in Miami, and getting along 'like a house on fire' according to Misha. As Meghan began dating Prince Harry the friends stayed close, and the Duchess even chose to wear one of her designer pal's shirts on her first ever public appearance with Harry at the Invictus Games in Toronto back in September 2017 (you know, where they held hands and we all wept with emotion).
Misha revealed her baby bump in a post on Instagram this week, writing: 'My journey into motherhood has been one of the most rewarding and beautiful experiences of my life. I’m extremely grateful and excited to share that we’re adding a sweet baby girl to our family, and Leo will soon be a big brother!'

Misha became a mother to baby Leo last March, after marrying her husband, energy entrepreneur Michael Hess, in a several-days-long celebration in Rome, in September 2019. The fashion designer has her own link to Prince Harry, too, and is widely thought to be the person who set Meghan and Harry up back in 2016. She was previously married to Alexander Gilkes; a former pupil at Eton and one of Harry's closest friends, which makes her perfectly positioned to have orchestrated the blind date.
The Sussexes announced their own baby news on Valentine's Day this year, when a symbolic, remotely-shot picture taken by London-based photographer Misan Harriman was shared along with a statement. 'We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child,' it read.
Later, in their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, the expectant parents shared news that it's a little girl they're expecting. 'It’s a girl,' Harry told Oprah, adding that he's 'just grateful' to be completing his family with a daughter. 'To have any child, any one or two, would be amazing. But to have a boy and then a girl, what more could you ask for? Now we’ve got our family, the four of us and our two dogs. It’s great,' he said.
With Misha Nonoo living in New York, she and her family will just be a short plane ride away from Meghan Markle and her clan over in California, so there's every chance their daughters could grow up being just as close as their mothers are. How exciting!
