Riz Ahmed and Fatima Farheen Mirza made their red carpet debut together at the 2021 Oscars on Sunday evening (April 25).
The actor, who was nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for his role in Sound Of Metal, was joined by his New York Times bestselling author wife.
As well as the couple's fans overjoyed at this sighting - at which Mirza wore Valentino Haute Couture and Ahmed wore Prada - what caught the attention of the internet more was a candid moment between the newlyweds on the red carpet.

While posing for photographs together at the ceremony in Los Angeles, Ahmed paused for one moment to fix and brush Mirza's hair behind her shoulders.

Ahmed revealed he had married Mirza while speaking to Louis Theroux for his Grounded podcast in January.
Just days ago, the 38-year-old actor also gave a glimpse into how he proposed to his wife, who he met at a coffee shop, telling Jimmy Kimmel on his late night TV show that he used scrabble tiles to ask Mirza to marry him while having a picnic at the park.
Ahmed and Mirza weren't the only high-profile couple to make an appearance at the Oscars on Sunday. Carey Mulligan was joined by her husband Marcus Mumford, Julius Tennon escorted his Best Actress nominee Viola Davis to the ceremony too while Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher walked another red carpet across the world in Sydney, Australia.
