Miley Cyrus has joined the likes of Kylie Jenner, Alex Rodriguez and Hailey Bieber by sharing a throwback video to celebrate the turn of the decade.
On New Year’s Day, the singer surprised her fans on Instagram by posting a video that reflected on her most ground-breaking moments over the last 10 years, from her role as Hannah Montana in the eponymous hit Disney show to her marriage to actor Liam Hemsworth.
‘Decade Video,’ the 27-year-old captioned the post. ‘10 Years in 10 minutes #NewYearStartsNow.’

At the beginning of the video, a scene from the couple’s 2010 film The Last Song plays. The formerly married couple – who announced their split in August after eight months of marriage – met on the set of the hit film and went onto enjoy an on/off relationship for 10 years.
One snippet sees a reporter announce Hemsworth's marriage proposal to Cyrus while another sees a journalist reports on the couple calling time on their romance ahead of the release of her 2013 song 'Wrecking Ball'.
Other clips reflect on the singer’s career trajectory and personal moments, including the launch of her Happy Hippie Foundation, her marriage to Hemsworth in December 2018 and her Glastonbury performance.
Cyrus and Hemsworth announced that they had called time on their brief marriage amid after the rumour mill began to spiral about a potential split.
In August, the Hunger Games actor captioned a photograph of a setting sun stating that the couple had separated. ‘I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,’ Hemsworth wrote of his ex wife.
In the months that followed, Cyrus went onto enjoy a relationship with influencer Kaitlynn Carter and her current boyfriend, singer Cody Simpson.
Meanwhile, Hemsworth has since been seen getting close to actress Maddison Brown and model Gabriella Brooks.
Last month, the ‘Mother’s Daughter’ singer joked about the couple’s shortly-lived marriage in the comments of an Instagram post shared by a user under the handle The Most Famous Artist.
After the Instagram user wrote about wanting to marry the singer in 2020, Cyrus responded by saying their marriage ‘probably won’t last long’, presumably referencing her marriage to the actor.
Mo’s post included a screenshot of a bio that suggested he wanted to marry Cyrus in 2020 with a message that read: ‘Upping my manifestation game for 2020 and putting this out there.'
Cyrus replied: 'It probably won't last long [engagement ring emoji]. But always down to try, you miss 100 per cent of the shots you don't take.'
