If you’re someone who can’t abide sharing drinks at a house party, you’re in good company, as it appears that Beyoncé and Jay-Z took their own fancy champagne to the 2020 Golden Globes.
On Sunday evening, the singer – who was nominated for her fourth Golden Globe – shocked fans with her appearance at the awards ceremony, after deciding to skip the red carpet and sneak into the show with her husband almost an hour into proceedings.
On arriving at the ceremony, the couple were accompanied by their bodyguard who was photographed holding three bottles of Ace of Spades champagne.

Of course, the brand selection wasn't by chance, given that Jay-Z reportedly has a whopping £151 million ($200 million) stake in the Armand de Brignac-produced tipple, which sells for around £300.

Choosing not to drink the bottles of Moët Chandon on their table (the alcohol brand was one of the official sponsors of the Globes), the pair were later spotted toasting the night with other attendees and even having a cooler for their own bottles placed in front of them.
During the awards show, Beyoncé – who was spotted not giving Joaquin Phoenix a standing ovation like her contemporaries following his award win – wore a black dress with exaggerated gold sleeves.
Ahead of the ceremony, Bey and Jay-Z posed for several glamorous photos which the ‘Who Run The World (Girls)’ singer later shared on Instagram.
In one photo, the star appeared to be wearing sheer black gloves which she notably removed before the ceremony, suggesting even Beyoncé has last minute outfit indecision like the rest of us.
On the night, the 38-year-old was nominated for Best Original Song for her track ‘Spirit’ from The Lion King, but she lost out to Rocketman’s ‘I’m Gonna Love Me Again’.
