Priyanka Chopra surprised and delighted us with the news that she and husband Nick Jonas had welcomed their first child earlier this month, via a surrogate.
Up until this point, despite opening up about her desire to have children with her husband of over three years, there was no indication that they were so soon to be parents.
Chopra has now shared her first post since the surprise announcement.

And while you might have expected it to be a photo with her newborn, she's instead posted two solo selfies.
The shots show her looking into a rearview mirror, and in the second photo, she's seen donning dark cat-eye shades.
Feeling photogenic at the time, she wrote an accompanying caption that reads: 'The light feels right.'
Speaking to Vanity Fair earlier this year, Chopra explained her need for privacy in relation to social media.
The Matrix Resurrection star said to the publication: 'It's a very vulnerable feeling, actually, that if I post a picture, everything that's behind me in that picture is going to be zoomed in on, and people are going to speculate.'
'It's just a professional hazard,' she added.
When news of Chopra becoming a mum broke a week ago, she and Jonas shared the same statement, which read: 'We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for your privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much. [sic].'
Before the baby announcement, Chopra, who's been married to Jonas since 2018, opened up to the same publication about seeing kids in her and Jonas' future.
'They're a big part of our desire for the future. By God's grace, when it happens, it happens,' she said.
And in response to whether her and singer husband Jonas' busy work schedule would get in the way of them working towards becoming parents, she affirmed: 'No, we're not too busy to practice.'
Prior to this, Chopra told The Sunday Times: 'I do want children, as many as I can have. A cricket team? I’m not so sure.'
Echoing his wife's feelings towards having children, in an interview with Zane Lowe, Jonas said: '[Having kids] is certainly something we’re both looking forward to.
He continued: 'And know that it’ll happen when it’s supposed to and we’re ready for that.'
