Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom finalised their divorce in 2016, three years after the reality star originally filed to end their marriage.

The delayed divorce was due to Odom being put on life support after a near-fatal drug overdose.

And before that, their relationship, which formerly earned them their own spin-off show (Khloé and Lamar), received heavy media attention, magnified by Lamar's substance abuse and allegations of infidelity.

Discussing his ex-wife on an episode of Celebrity Big Brother, which aired on February 3, the former basketball player told fellow contestant Todrick Hall he was 'hoping that my ex wife was in here.'

He added: 'I wanted to see her so bad, bro.'

Odom, who expressed that he wouldn't feel content if he didn't have another chance with Kardashian, went on to address cheating in their marriage.

'[When you] take a vow under the Lord’s eye, you expect to honour that vow, which I didn’t,' he said.

He continued: 'It kind of haunts me now that I didn’t. Sometimes when I get the opportunity to talk about it, it's like therapeutic a little bit and I do miss her and her family dearly.'

The former NBA player, who married The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star after just 30 days of them knowing each other, spoke about how he feels about her now: 'I do miss her and her family dearly. Even just to her family, I am sorry I let them down. They had so much faith in me and gave me my own nickname "Lammy". I would do anything to make it up,' he said.

Of their relationship, which arose after having met for the first time at a party in LA, for fellow former basketball player Ron Artest, 42-year-old Odom, said: 'After that, everything was just natural.

'I was with her every day until we got married. I was really looking forward to having children with her.'

Odom, who later became engaged to former partner Sabrina Parr in 2019 before the pair split amid a social media hacking scandal, expressed his hopes to reunite with Kardashian.

'I just want her take her out to eat and tell her sorry,' he said.

Last month, Odom also spoke about his desires to reconnect with Kardashian, following the news that her ex Tristan Thompson, with whom shares three-year-old daughter True, had fathered a third child – this time with personal trainer Maralee Nichols.

Thompson also shares five-year-old son Prince with former partner Jordan Craig.

In response to the public apology to Kardashian from Thompson, who was also allegedly unfaithful to her during their on-and-off relationship, Odom wrote: 'I truly wish nothing but the best for her and I'm hoping we can reconnect and talk one day as friends. She is a good person and deserves the world.'

Odom isn't the only one to have expressed his emotions in relation to their divorce.

Back in 2015, Kardashian told Complex magazine: 'I miss him every day.'

She added: 'I miss what we had -- things we got to do together are just memories. I like looking back and holding on to that stuff.'

Amid their divorce being finalised, Kardashian formerly tweeted on July 21 2015: 'Such a crazy day!!! Very emotional.

'Thank you all for being so loving and supportive!!! [sic]'
