The 44-year-old singer recently appeared as a guest on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast, and shared some seriously relatable insights into his sex life as a new father of three.
His first piece of advice? 'Lock the door if you have kids,' joked Legend. 'Our kids have a way of finding their way into our room. So, if we ever wanna have a good time, we gotta lock the door.'

When asked about how to keep the spark alive as a married couple, however, Legend said it was about a lot more than just the physical aspect. 'You have to find time, you have to still do those romantic gestures and make an effort,' he explained. 'I think that's all important. You can't take things for granted, especially if you've been together for a long time. If you allow yourself to just get in a rut, you gotta go on a date, do some things, do some fun things, make some romantic gestures.'
Podcast host Cooper then asked the singer what he thought was the 'hottest thing' about his wife of nine years, Chrissy Teigen. 'Honestly, it's probably obvious but she makes me laugh all the time,' he revealed. 'And I think that it just changes your whole world when you have somebody around you that makes you laugh because it just makes every experience ā even when you go through the worst things, when they have a sense of humour, it just makes life better.'

Just over a month after giving birth to her third child with husband of ten years John Legend, Chrissy Teigen has shared an adorable family video featuring the couple showering their newborn with kisses.
The short clip shows Teigen and Legend kissing baby Esti on both cheeks simultaneously, creating a 'kiss sandwich'. Teigen also captioned the post, 'first kiss š„Ŗ !!'
On the same day, Teigen also shared further snapshots of the newly expanded family's life, posting photos of Legend to her Instagram stories that show him cooking pancakes, and later, paella for the family.

Proud father John Legend posted the photo to his Instagram, with the caption 'had the best Valentineās dates last night. ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø'. Chrissy Teigen, who gave birth just one month ago, posed in a pink mini-dress and heels and carried newborn Esti, while John, Luna and Miles each wore co-ordinating red outfits.
Teigen also posted the same photo to her own profile, with the funny caption 'excuse the spit up!! we are doing the best we can over here lol' and a selection of other intimate family snaps from the night.

One month after Chrissy Teigen gave birth to her and John Legend's third child together, Legend shared a sweet insight into the family's life with the newborn. 'It was making me emotional the first two nights we were home because I just felt the love expand in the house, and I felt the excitement' he told WSJ Magazine.
As for how the couple's older children, Luna and Miles, reacted: 'We weren't sure how they would take it. I felt like they were a little jealous when mummy was pregnant. But as soon as Esti arrived, they're just exploding with love and joy, and they're so caring and loving toward her. They want to hold her, they want to kiss her and it's really exciting.'
Legend also spoke about the family's daily routine since the arrival of their third child. 'We're at [Esti's] mercy a little bit', he said. 'Chrissy will usually wake up to feed her around 6am, and then my older kids usually will come running into our bedroom around 6:30am, no later than 7am. One way or another, our kids are waking us up.'
The star also shared that he is 'in charge of breakfast' in the household, and often makes 'some scrambled eggs or an omelette, maybe some green juice.'

Almost two weeks after giving birth (January 13, according to People), Teigen took to Instagram to share the first close-up photo of her new baby's face, captioning the post 'look at u out here lookin like a baby'. Husband John Legend left a sweet comment too, writing 'My little Esti š¢ā¤ļø.'
Numerous celebrities also commented on the post, from Kaley Cuoco and Gabrielle Union to Kris Jenner, who wrote 'Soooo beautiful just like her mama šššš.'
The post comes five days after Teigen officially shared the news of the third addition to her and John Legend's growing family with a sweet Instagram post that also revealed the baby's name, Esti Maxine Stephens. The post showed Teigen and Legend's older children, Luna and Miles, looking adorable as they meet their new sibling for the first time.

According to People, the latest addition to the family was born on January 13, and the news was announced by John Legend himself during a private concert later that same day.
The proud father-of-three reportedly said the couple had welcomed 'the little baby this morning', and that he 'didn't get a lot of sleep' but 'feels energised' after spending 'a lot of time' at the hospital by his wife's side. Legend summed up the news by saying: 'What a blessed day.' Some of the lucky concert-goers who had attended the private performance were quick to share the news on Twitter.

The 36-year-old, who already shares daughter Luna, six, and son Miles, four, with her husband of almost 10 years, John Legend, announced the news via Instagram, sharing two mirror selfies that showed off her burgeoning bump.
In the photos, the mother-of-two is dressed in a cropped black T-shirt and sheer Gucci pants, as she poses against a backdrop of her walk-in-wardrobe.
Teigen, who earlier this year shared that she had resumed IVF after the passing her son in October 2020, wrote an emotional caption to accompany her current pregnancy announcement.
She began: 'The last few years have been a blur of emotions to say the least, but joy has filled our home and hearts again.
'1 billion shots later (in the leg lately, as u can see!) we have another on the way [sic].'

Teigen and 43-year-old Legend's children Luna and Miles were both conceived with the help of IVF treatments.
However, she became pregnant with baby Jack naturally, before he eventually died pre-term, following complications.
At the time, she shared the heartbreaking news to Instagram, writing: 'We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain weāve never felt before.'
She concluded: 'We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things weāve been able to experience.
'But everyday canāt be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.'
It was in February of this year when Teigen announced that she'd restarted IVF treatment, hoping to extend her family-of-four.
She captioned the photo: 'Hiiii. I posted about it in my stories, but I wanted to let you guys know Iām balls deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos.
'I honestly donāt mind the shotsā¦they make me feel like a doctor/chemistā¦but the bloating is a bitch, so I humbly beg you to stop asking if Iām pregnant because while I know itās said with excited, good intentions, it just kind of sucks to hear because I am the opposite of pregnant!
'But also like please stop asking people, anyone, if theyāre pregnant. I said this in the comments and got yelled at because the internet is wild but Iād rather be the one to tell you and not some poor woman who will look you in the eyes through tears and thatās how you finally learn [sic].'
This is despite previously writing: āI love being pregnant, so so much, and Iām sad I never will be again. But I am lucky to have two amazing little ones who are transforming into big little people more and more every single day [sic].ā
