Wednesday star Catherine Zeta-Jones has shared her regret at the role she never got to play.
The actor, who stars as Morticia in the spinoff to The Addams Family, revealed that the role she coveted but never got to play was, in fact, 007.
Speaking to The Sun, Zeta-Jones revealed the surprising news saying: 'I would have loved to have played Bond.'

Discussing her relationship with the late Sean Connery, the actress recalled the bond she shared with the Bond actor and a particular conversation the pair had.
'I had such a wonderful relationship with Sean Connery – we did a movie called Entrapment years ago – and he was like my elder brother, my dad, my support,' she said. 'I really loved him,' she added.
'I am a Bond fanatic and he said to me once, "You would have made a great Bond, girl". I asked, "A Bond girl or Bond?"'
When Bond himself responded with 'Bond girl', Zeta-Jones recalled: 'I said, "Oh my gosh, I would have loved to have played Bond!" But I think that time has passed.'
Zeta-Jones also spoke about her latest role as Morticia Addams in Wednesday, which she stars in alongside Luis Guzmán, who plays Gomez Addams.
'It was a real treat because it’s an iconic show and characters like Fester and Morticia are indelible, they’re in our subconscious,' the Morticia star said of the role.
With four out of eight of the episodes directed by Tim Burton, she added: 'You throw in the brilliant mind of Tim Burton and a fantastic casting and I’m just thrilled it’s going so well.'
Wednesday is now streaming on Netflix worldwide.
