The cast of Christopher Nolan’s biopic Oppenheimer walked out of its UK premiere last night in ‘solidarity’ with the actors’ strike currently taking place in Hollywood.
Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and Rami Malek were among the stars to leave the premiere in Leicester Square.
According to Deadline, speaking to the cinema’s audience, Nolan said: 'You've seen them here earlier on the red carpet.

Sag-aftra, an American union which represents approximately 160,000 actors, journalists, writers and personalities, is expected to rule in favour of a picket line after its committee unanimously voted to recommend its members go on strike on June 12. The strike would be the first of its kind from actors and writers in 60 years.
In a red-carpet interview with Variety on the night, Oppenheimer star Damon revealed that 'once the strike is officially called', the cast is 'going to walk obviously in solidarity'.
'That's why we moved this [red carpet] up because we know the second it's called, we're going home,' he said.
