After it spent 12 consecutive weeks as the most-streamed series in America in 2023, hit series Suits is set to make a comeback with a revival.
Suits’ creator, Aaron Korsh, is in the early stages of developing a new series, named Suits L.A., which will be set in the same legal drama world, but will be neither a reboot or sequel, but merely just inspired by the original series’ premise.
The series, which will begin production in March in Vancouver, will focus on Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career.

The original series of Suits, which starred Meghan Markle, Patrick J. Adams, and Rick Hoffman, was set in New York City but it’s understood that the new series will be set in Los Angeles with new characters and a new setting.
Despite the writers also creating the 'perfect' character for Markle, she won't appear in the new series - but she did try and get her company Archewell to executive produce the series, per the Daily Mail.
'Meghan was clear that she didn’t want to be involved as an actor. But Archewell was trying to wiggle its way in as a production company on the spin-off,' a source told the publication. 'NBC have killed that idea.'
This will be the third iteration of Suits since the original series debuted in 2011. In 2019, Korsh released a spin-off, Pearson, which was based on the fictional law firm Suits featured. It was cancelled after one season.
Upon learning that Suits had become the most-streamed series in America, overtaking Ozark, Korsh tweeted his surprise.
‘I always thought we were underestimated, but it turns out, even I underestimated #Suits,’ he wrote, retweeting a story on the latest streaming record broken by his show. ‘It’s good to be the King.’
