Up until tonight’s Golden Globes, Selena Gomez and her new fiancé, Benny Blanco, had never posed on a red carpet together. That didn’t change at the ceremony. However, Blanco joined Gomez inside the awards show, where they had plenty of affectionate moments during the broadcast. They even kissed at one point.

One is comfort. As she put it, 'I guess this is the safest I’ve ever felt in one [a relationship], and I see a future with this person.'

And the second reason is to give them more privacy. 'When you put a little bit out there, people are not as hungry to hunt you down,' she said. 'Like, if they hear something, they’re going to, but if you’re like, ‘I did it,’ they’re like, ‘Oh, well there’s you, just going to Sushi Park.’ But there’s so much of my relationship people don’t see, that’s just mine.'

Gomez spoke to ELLE US for their Women in Hollywood issue about how much she cherishes this stage in her career. 'Being in this moment with these women [Emilia Pérez co-stars Zoe Saldaña and Karla Sofía Gascón talking] about a movie that’s so important and moving and beautiful, it’s been a wow moment for me,' she said. 'I definitely didn’t expect all of what’s happening. It just feels like a time in my life that I’m extremely grateful for. Honestly, every day I wake up thinking, "How did I get to do this?"'
