Breastfeeding celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian, Halsey and Emily Ratajkowski are helping break the stigma surrounding feeding a baby breast milk in public.
According to the NHS, there are numerous benefits to breastfeeding a baby, including helping to reduce infections, diarrhoea and vomiting, as well as reducing the likelihood of obesity and cardiovascular disease in adulthood. Of course, not all mothers can or choose to breastfeed, but for those who do they often face taboo in society that seemingly dictates where they 'should' and 'shouldn't' feed their child from their breast. Absurd, right?
Fortunately several women are using their high profiles and social media platforms to change the conversation surrounding breastfeeding and pumping outdoors.
