Change is good. Especially when it involves new cocktail bars. It’s a truism that brings us to Momo in Mayfair, which – after 20 years as London’s most glamorous Moroccan restaurant – has just had a full revamp. Because it’s important to stay relevant no matter how iconic you are (just ask Kate Moss). So what’s new? Well, a luxe mimosa-plant, Moroccan-lantern and wooden-screen bedecked interior, a North African menu starring octopus with salt-baked beetroot and sea bream with artichokes barigoule, AAAAAND a new 19th-century styled cocktail bar run by Erik Lorincz, who led The Savoy to be named the World’s Best Bar. We’re pretty sure Kate would approve.

This new electro-music festival is not just ANY electro-music festival, oh no. This one is all about the setting, too. Taking over London’s brutalist buildings and filling them with left-field DJs and multi-sensory light shows, this shindig has been curated by cool London promoters Krankbrother, which means the line-up is top drawer. Nina Kravitz at Walthamstow Assembly Hall, The Orb at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Carla dal Forno at The Silver Building… expect experimental sounds, brutalist architecture and mighty, mighty beats.

Do you: ever order a double-shot, half-foam skinny latte? Know your Ethiopian yiracheffe from your Italian roast? Disown friends who deign to give you – whisper it – Nescafe? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then come, be among your people. In fact, come if you just like a good cup of coffee, good food or even an espresso martini. For they are all to be found in abundance at this annual celebration of all things caffeinated, returning to The Old Truman Brewery once more. You can expect over 250 artisan coffee and food stalls, demos from world-class baristas, coffee-based cocktails, live music, DJs… You can NOT expect Nespresso pods. That’s just cheating.

A monograph is defined as a detailed study of a single specialised subject. Happily, in the case of this pop-up supperclub, that subject is delicious Japanese food. Yes! Landing in the sleek White Conduits Projects gallery this weekend, they’ll be cooking up a four-course Tokyo-inspired feast, featuring the likes of sanuki udon noodles, takoyaki (bite-sized fried octopus) and chocolate mocha. And best of all? It’s BYOB. This is our kind of research project.

Did you know this week is London Dog Week ? Well you do now – just in time to take Rover to this charity event at Connaught Village, where local café Saint Aymes are offering free grooming to both owners (Fe Hair and Beauty), and dogs (Pretty Paws).
