Las Vegas has long been associated with spontaneous, quick, no fuss and frills weddings.
You can literally drive-through and have a wedding in Nevada city or turn up in the middle of the night having decided a sudden ceremony is what your heart desires.
The stereotype of the Vegas wedding often involves alcohol, one or two witnesses (who may or may not be known to the couple) and no bridal gowns or grooms in suits - more of a jeans and sweats vibe. Think Ross and Rachel in Friends.
But, that is not what Vegas weddings are all about. In this modern day, particularly with Coronavirus placing restrictions on weddings, the quick and casual ceremony is an ideal way for a celebrity couple to sort the legal bit of a wedding without a huge song and dance, and the attention that comes with it.
